Kate was awarded the 2009 Travel Grant to enable her to spend 6 months on The Mercy Ship off the West Coast of Africa.

Kate is an experienced midwife, registered with the NMC in the UK and practicing independently with a number of other midwives in Cape Town South Africa. She has a passion for providing improved healthcare to the most deprived women in Africa and she was thrilled to have the financial support to carry out this valuable work.

HCP Study Events are currently open to request for 2010 funding (see application form and terms & conditions) and, as always, these awards are made possible by a generous grant from Nestle Nutrition Institute.
